About Me

As a professional: Psychologist, Professor, Supervisor, Advocate. I am a Psychologist with a Health Service Provider designation and a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist - Consultant; with a Doctorate of Psychology from Baylor University and a Postdoctoral Fellowship from The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. I have the honor and privilege of being the first President and founding board member of the iaedpTM Nashville chapter and a frequent lecturer across the country on issues such as Ethical Practice of Eating Disorders, Building Resiliency in Mothers and Daughters and Christian Treatment of Eating Disorders.

As a practice: Built on the belief that we are all striving to live our lives fully, authentically and connectedly. Sometimes doing so means overcoming adversity and deep pain. Sometimes it means finding our own new path when the current path no longer seems right. Whatever the reason for change, the process is never easy. And being authentic - trusting oneself and others - takes courage. But for anyone who is willing to commit to the process, I offer my own commitment to support and encourage growth while challenging the beliefs and actions that keep you from living life fully. My areas of expertise include: eating disorders, anxiety, depression, trauma, spirituality, self-esteem and relationship issues, including family therapy.

As a person: She/her/hers, Daughter, Wife, Mom, Cat Mom, Dog Mom. In my down time, I enjoy photography, digital scrapbooking and gardening. I’m a beach bum whenever I am able. But mostly I enjoy being with my family while we laugh, think out loud and explore our interests and passions….
